In an effort to improve our website and keep an accurate and detailed history of the club, Mt Waverley CC is asking for the assistance of past players and members.

It is our intention to include photos of as many premiership sides on this website as we can and we are also looking to further involve past players with past players days, premiership reunions and invitations to key club functions.

Therefore if you have any photos, score books or other club memorabilia that we might be able to copy or include in our records we would be very interested in hearing from you.

We would also be very interested in hearing from you if you wish to update your details and keep in touch with your past team mates.

Past Player Functions

Mt Waverly CC hold several "past player" functions each season.

These include informal "Past Player BBQ's" and the "President's Lunch" as well as general Social Functions and the popular, end of season, "Corporate Sports Lunch" held in the CBD.

As well as being a fantastic opportunity to catch up with former team mates, some of these functions also provide an opportunity to support the club.

You can also support the club through subscribing to our Newsletter, through our "Major Prize" raffle, through our various categories of sponsorship and by taking up a Social Membership.

"Snake" Recovering Well

After suffering a heart attack in February this year, Mark Van Den Driessen is back at home and recovering well.

He is back at work a couple of days a week and has apparently been talking up his prospects of playing again during the 2008/09 season.

Whilst there is no doubt the 3rd XI received an enourmous boost of energy when Mark and another young bloke in Steve Richardson returned to the club to play in early 2008, we'll just be happy to see Mark around the club during the upcoming season.

We wish Mark all the very best with his continued recovery.   

Club Legends Return 

Richo previously played 169 games for the club, scoring close to 4,000 runs and taking 54 wickets. Mark has taken 78 wickets in his 75 games for the club to date at an average of just over 18. He has also scored nearly 1,000 runs.  

We welcome them both back to the club and hope that they are the first of many more past players to return.
